Local favourites Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar College beat city opponents, Government College of Physical Education 43-41 in the exciting final to win the Utkal University Inter-College Basketball Tournament at Vanivihar campus in Bhubaneswar today.
Only five colleges took part in the hurriedly organised tournament, which would serve as the basis for selection of Utkal team for the East Zone Inter-University Tournament to be hosted by B R University, Ranchi, from October 30.
